Check out my interview with Jason W. Johnson, personality psychology expert, the “Personality Hacker” + founder of Konveau where we discuss launching a business while working. Jason shares his journey – starting his first business from an idea he had while driving, to his latest tech venture that he’s launched while working full-time as an entrepreneurial coach.
Jason gives three key lessons in launching a business while working, and also a few tips on “personality hacking”:
- Treat your business as a business and not a hobby from the start. Even if you are working full-time, the only way you can actually move your business forward is to treat it like one and own your role as CEO from day one.
- Build on your strengths, don’t stress over the weaknesses. Once you understand your personality type, maximize your strengths and manage your weaknesses by delegating and building a team.
- Pay attention to how you can leverage the skills developed in your current business. How do those skills translate in your business?

We talk more about Jason’s biggest regret about launching while working, how to start building a solid team from day one, how to make a stellar first impression with prospective clients, how to jumpstart your business while you are working elsewhere and more.
